Audette is a first-of-its-kind software platform that builds multi-decade desktop retrofit plans for entire portfolios (down to the asset level). Its machine learning platform is trained on >800,000 building models and encodes the energy retrofit logic from 50+ years of professional engineering experience.

As part of the Alberta Ecotrust Retrofit Accelerator program, Alberta Ecotrust is working with Audette to equip Alberta’s building owners and managers participating in this program with tailored desktop retrofit plans for their portfolio at no cost through December 2025. Larger portfolios can also enjoy complimentary access to their plans with login credentials to Audette’s software through December 2025.

A retrofit plan provides a clear list of what retrofits need to happen, in what order, and also provides financial analysis including estimated capital costs and savings potential of the project(s). The planning provides a pathway to help building owners reduce emissions, and potentially operational costs associated with energy usage. This proactive planning provides an opportunity to increase asset value and lifespan by improving the tenant experience and upgrading the operational assets of the building. Audette’s desktop retrofit plans include:

Office, retail, warehouse, distribution centers, medical offices, senior housing, multi-unit residential buildings (MURB), schools, and hotel buildings in Alberta can access these plans at no cost if they participate in the Alberta Ecotrust Retrofit Accelerator Program.

The desktop retrofit plans provided by Audette can be used for high-level quantification of costs and savings potential for retrofit projects, identification of top projects, and prioritization of top buildings in your portfolio with the greatest opportunity for further investigation. The plans provide preliminary analysis and therefore building owners must seek necessary professional advice before implementing any projects identified in Audette’s desktop retrofit plans. The Alberta Ecotrust Retrofit Accelerator Program facilitates connecting building owners with service providers who provide onsite energy auditing, design, and implementation services.
